Holding Grief: A Dad's Memoir
Holding Grief traces a father and daughter’s all-around journey as they navigate the tangled intersections of love and hate, fear and bravery, hope and despair. It explores how naming one’s family role becomes the first step toward change, inviting hard questions about identity, freedom, and the possibility of becoming who we are truly intended to be. Ultimately, through a series of interlocking encounters, the book shows how self-trust can restore trust in others and open the door to new relationships forged in self-love. After all what really matters is how we play the hands we are dealt!
Ultimately
We become ourselves through love.
I write to help explore how we become ourselves through love, loss, faith, and the families that shape us.
A new now was thrust upon me and my family through the immergence of life and convergence of death catapulting us into feeling upside-down, inside-out, and turned all-around. Holding grief from this new viewpoint is not about trying to ‘get over a loss’ but about embracing the challenge to live this new transformative perspective as fully as possible.
